me myself and I Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 yeah yeah yeah oooooeeeeerrrr matron.But seriously was working ok.Fuse not blown but changed it anyway.Connection underneath connected fine.Traced wires and took out air filter housing.Wire casing broken but no wires exposed or obviously broken.Reconnected alarm brain and switched on.Got my NCT (MOT) coming uo and it is an automatic fail.Any ideas..........1997 2ltr DOHC Petrol Quote
chazhead Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 you put the horn across the battery direct to see if it works? If it does, check the voltage at the wires into the horn, see what you're getting if nothing then maybe the horn switch in the steering wheel needs cleaning? Quote

me myself and I Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Posted September 13, 2007 ok.The horn had simply worn out.Went to Halfords got a new one with a lovely red cover that said will fit all models.eeeeerrrrrrrr no it doesnt.Had serious trouble bridging a wire from new horn to old switch. (Bloody Halfords) Quote
